On August 9, HFT delivered two of the largest agricultural equipment of its kind in Japan to Mr. Yamamoto of Obihiro, Hokkaido - a 375hp TJ375 tractor and a Kuhn 12-furrow plough. A ceremony was held at Mr. Yamamoto’s farm to welcome the equipment, at which time a local Shinto priest blessed the TJ tractor and the plough and granted them a “soul.” Mr. Gouerec of Kuhn joined in the ceremony and, after it was completed, he provided HFT staff members and the customer with instructions related to the large plough. HFT’s introduction of the largest tractor and plough to the Japan market further supports the trend towards large scale farming here, with demand for high horsepower machinery on an upward path.
