HFT and Kuhn used the recent International Expo in Obihiro, which ran from August 23 through 27, to officially announce our joint project to develop ploughs for the Japan market.
The unveiling comes a year after HFT and Kuhn agreed to tie up for the project. Over the interim period, the two companies have worked closely together on prototype testing and modification.
HFT's President and CEO, Mr. H. Shibamoto, remarked that "we have been very pleased with the attention to details and refinement shown by Kuhn engineers during the joint testing here, and in the modifications made at Kuhn-Huard's facilities."

The collaborative efforts are clearly visible in plastic, steel, and slatted body ploughs that excel in the myriad of soil types encountered in Japan, and which are well suited to local farming methods. The ploughs reflect HFT's rich knowledge of ploughing conditions here matched with Kuhn's world-class design and production capabilities.

Besides announcing the joint project at the Obihiro Expo, HFT also displayed two ploughs along with a third set of plough bodies. As expected, the unveiling and the display drew a great deal of interest from visitors to the Expo.
Following an active demonstration campaign this autumn, HFT plans to begin selling the ploughs through our nationwide store network early next spring.
